Eagle Scout Project (Part 1)
Our first Eagle Scout project of the year by Devin W. will benefit Brookside Gardens Nature Center. The center has a sort of discovery area for small children with a gravel "sand" pit, an observation area, benches, etc.
The goal of the project was to build "Ft. Brookside," a small structure that children can hang things from. Oh, and did I mention it also has a bench!
Here are some photos from the June 11, 2016 AM building session. More photos to follow

Troop Archives Have Expanded
The Troop Archives have grown with the inclusion of key correspondence from 2008 through 2011 and the BTOW14 correspondence. This correspondence was added to the troop archives by Mr. B, who was Scoutmaster during a number of those. years. Although the binders are not fancy, the documents (in batches of apx. 40) are contained in archival pages, so as to prevent deterioration. They are currently kept in the troop cabinets.
Correspondence for 2012 is being worked on.

Helping an Elderly Parishioner (2012)
In July of 2012, the troop received a request to assist an elderly parishioner move. Although it was summer, we were able to gather enough adults to move the 40 or so items out of her apartment, and then into her new apartment. Although she still had much to pack in the original apartment, this gave her the ability to move around, as well as, get a jump on moving.

Canoe Tipping at Glenwood Pool (2012)
The troop over the years conducted two very large service projects at Glenwood Pool. As one was to say "Thank You," is they allowed us to train our Scouts on how to handle a canoe. This included paddling, swimming, and getting back into the canoe. Here are a couple of photos from 2012.
