Pack 23 Bridging Ceremony (Part Two)

 

On Saturday, May 14th, Pack 23 (sponsored by St. Michael's Catholic Church in downtown Silver Spring) held their Blue and Gold.  Three members of the pack bridged over to our troop.

Report to the Governor (1967)

 Before the internet and emails, news at the Council and District levels were sent out as newsletters via snail mail (aka US Postal Service). 

The NCAC Scouter Weekly Digest (March 27, 1967) highlights the REPORT TO THE GOVERNOR at the State House.  Patrick O'Connell made the formal Council Report to Governor Agnew on Feb. 13th.  Afterwards, the group toured the Naval Academy at Annapolois.

BTOW 1992 Snapshot

The 1992 BTOW was to Glacer National Park.  

As you can see, there were 11 adults and 18 scouts.  The average cost per round trip flight was $300.

Christmas Tree Sale 2019 - Final Day

Here are some photos from the second to last shift -- Saturday morning, Dec. 21st.

This year, during the last day, we made a concerted effort to remove most of the debris, netting, etc. from the parking lot.  At the end of the last shift, the only thing that was left standing was the shed and the remaining two or three trees.

Another season over.  
 

 

Congratulations to our Newest Eagle Scout!

Troop 466 would like to congratulate Ben C. on passing of the Eagle Board of Review, on Friday, August 16, 2019.    

A special debt of thanks are owed to his parents, siblings and all of the Scout leaders over the years, who have had a hand in this achievement.
