BTOW17: Granite Canyon (Part 2)
Well, after a couple of hours of hiking up Granite Canyon, we found a site marked "campsite" and decided that this would be it. We were all tired and wet. We made camp, ate dinner and then went to sleep.

BTOW17: Granite Canyon Hike
Four Scouts and four Scouts hiked into Granite Canyon and then out the next day. We started at Grand Teton Village, as parking at the Trail Head was closed due to road construction. This added a bit to the hike.
On the way up, we met a Park Ranger, who was a retired firefighter, who told us about his work. It also rained and it made the hike up miserable, especially for the writer of this blog post. We also had the problem of finding the group campsite, as the campsites were only marked "campsite."

BTOW17: The All American Passtime!
While most of the older scouts were out hiking Death Canyon and Cascade Canyon, the younger Scouts one afternoon decided to play a little baseball. Here are some of the photos from that fun afternoon!
Notice the baseball bat.

BTOW17: Hermitage Point/Swan Lake Hike
On our first full day, we always take a hike to get ourselves acclimated to the altitude and get our muscles going.
We decided to take a hike in the area of Hermitage Point/Swan Lake.

A couple of us hear that the lake was nearby, so we decided to head out from the campsite and down the trail to Jackson Lake. This is what we saw!
