Scout Day at the Mount 2009
Sponsored by The Catholic Committee on Boy Scouting of the Archdiocese of Washington
When: Saturday, September 12, 2009
Arrive at Patriot Hall on the Campus of Mount St. Mary’s by 11:00 a.m.
What: A mountain hike, visit to the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, Holy Mass, and a tour of Mount St. Mary’s. Dinner at the Cozy Restaurant
Where: Mount St. Mary’s University and Seminary
Emmitsburg, Maryland
Cost: Free, except for meal costs
All Boy Scouts, male Venture Scouts, and leaders are invited to join us at Mount St. Mary’s University and Seminary for a tour of the seminary, visit to the Grotto, Holy Mass, and a 5 mile mountain hike. While this is an excellent opportunity for Scouts working on religious emblems to complete some of their requirements, the trip is not restricted to those working on emblems. All Boy Scouts and male Venture Scouts are invited. Those who have participated in the past are encouraged to join us again. We will end the day with dinner at the Cozy Restaurant.
