For the Troops in Afghanistan

A few months ago, the spouse of one of our Asst. Scoutmaster’s was deployed to a Afghanistan. Because she and a number of others are not at a US base, they don’t necessarily have all of the things they need (or at least not easy to get). So, we thought it would be a good idea to send them a couple of things. They requested reading materials, soap, toothpaste, etc.

So, we asked for some donations and sent out nine (9) boxes of supplies. Here is a breakdown of the items (just in case you are wondering):

Magazines: 60

Books: 24

Wipes: 5

Liquid Soap: 6 large

Soap – Bars: 16

Body Wash (bottles): 8

Toothbrushes: 6

Toothpaste (large): 6

Dental Floss: 6

Shampoo: 2

Deodorant: 8

Chewing Gum: 9 packages

Q-Tips: 2 packages

Foot Powder: 2

Assorted travel sizes of soap, mouthwash, shampoo, etc.

Two boxes of sealable bags.

Here is a photo of the first shipment...
